Do you NaNoWriMo?

NaNoWriMo is the easy way of saying November is National Novel Writing Month.  It is more than just a title, it is an entire month challenging you to exercise your brain by writing a 50,000 word novel in 30 days, which averages out to writing 1,667 words each day.  It may not sound like an easy task, but nearly half a million people in more than 200 countries have dedicated an entire month to putting their story on paper.  It is free to sign up and to report your daily or weekly progress, just cut and paste your story, click a button and your word count is submitted.  There is more than just bragging rights for reaching 50,000 words, there are great prizes.  It may sound like an insurmountable goal, but with every difficult task, there are online and in person groups to provide encouragement, warm-ups, exercises and lots of advice.  There's still lots of time left, so grab your laptop, hunker down at the nearest desktop, or even grab pen and paper and write away.  The world needs your story.
