It's his account of his attempt at walking the entire Appalachian Trial with his friend, Katz. It's good writing and has some very interesting historical bits, but more than that, it had me laughing out loud at many passages. His other books are just as good and just as funny.Deirdre Moorenoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-118444160079291745.post-35557623412152469842011-08-04T13:59:42.373-04:002011-08-04T13:59:42.373-04:00I am immersed in the novel called Loving Frank by ...I am immersed in the novel called Loving Frank by Nancy Horan. It is the author's first novel, but her writing is hypnotizing. She has me transported to 1909, feeling the emotions and conflicts that the lead character Mamah Cheney experiences as a result of some difficult choices she has made after having a relationship with Frank Lloyd Wright. It's based on true events, and although it was so long ago, it is a modern love story.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-118444160079291745.post-45196570053148694122011-08-04T13:38:48.607-04:002011-08-04T13:38:48.607-04:00Read "The Color of Water," which is Herr...Read "The Color of Water," which is Herron High School's choice for this fall's One School One Book project. Touching and emotional story of an African-American boy growing up with a white mother. In the course of telling his story, he tells his mother's story, as well.Melanie Audettenoreply@blogger.com
